St. Paul's Lutheran School has served Columbus's south side — German Village, Merion Village, and Schiller Park — from Stewart Avenue since 1951. We are a K-8 school where children are known by name, taught to read with a proven curriculum, and grounded in a church family that has worshipped on this corner since 1821.

Your child will read
Reading is taught with UFLI Foundations, a Science of Reading phonics curriculum, in small classes where no child quietly falls behind. Every student's reading progress is checked three times a year, and we share the results with parents.
Known by name
Five classrooms and about 65 students, in multi-grade rooms where teachers keep their students for two years. Our dean of students knows every family, and when you email the principal, the principal answers — principal@stpaulsk8.org.

Our congregation has been on Stewart Avenue since 1821, and the school since 1951 — 75 years of south-side families educating their children here. Our students come from German Village, Merion Village, Schiller Park, and neighborhoods across the south side.

Between Ohio's EdChoice scholarships and scholarships through our Scholarship Granting Organization here in Ohio, most St. Paul's families pay nothing for tuition. We work closely with every family to map out the benefits available to them — a clear pathway to an affordable Christian education.
